The Danielle Dawn Smalley Foundation is dedicated to educating people about the potential dangers of living and working near the high-pressure gas pipelines crisscrossing America. The Foundation will establish working relationships with local, county, state and federal agencys and emergency response organizations.

The Foundation will also engage in emergency pipeline response training for volunteer fire departments and county emergency response organizations. Training will be accomplished through the use of training manuals and videotapes created by The Foundation. Personal on-site training seminars will be conducted at regular volunteer fire department training meetings.

The major initiative of The Foundation is to provide technical assistance and training to first responders in rural areas throughout the United States. These are the areas of greatest need. These intensive workshops, combined with on-site technical assistance, will prepare first responders to deal with the risks associated with high-pressure pipelines, and in case of emergencies, respond in appropriate ways. This training and technical assistance is available at no charge to first responder units and other interested community organizations.

PUBLIC AWARENESS: The Foundation encourages trained units to become proactive in their communities by speaking to individuals, church groups, schools, businesses and other interested parties located near high-pressure pipelines. The Danielle Dawn Smalley Foundation will supply first responder groups with Public Awareness brochures at no charge to accomplish this goal.
