Quite often pipeline facilities and operations are overlooked when assessing risks to a school. Pipeline infrastructure is located near many schools, in every state. The Foundation’s public awareness information and emergency response guidelines assist administrators, faculty, staff and students in safely coexisting with the nearby pipeline. More importantly, the information can be used when evaluating and planning for potential pipeline emergencies. Following these guidelines will help to reduce the probability of a pipeline emergency and will help to mitigate potential dangers should a pipeline incident occur.
